A number of thematic areas of intervention are integrated in IOP. From the point of view of defining powers, subsidiarity and division of labour, these have to be guaranteed by the state or regional public administration bodies on the central level . Modernisation of public administration, improvement of quality and availability of public services and support of regional development fall under these areas.
Reinforcement of public administration and public and related services in the Czech Republic with the aim of increasing the quality of life of the population and making the Czech Republic more attractive to investors is the common objective of these thematic areas. Specification of IOP activities is supported by the conceptual strategic materials for the given areas (national concept).
How is IOP financed?
IOP is financed not only through ERDF resources and national public sources, but also through private sources, albeit to a limited extent (priority axes 3, 4a, 4b and 5). IOP is a multi-objective thematic programme, and financial resources are divided up between the Convergence objective (€ 1.59 billion) and the Regional Competitiveness and Employment objective (approx. € 29.4 million). Approximately € 1.62 billion has been earmarked for the IOP.
What projects are supported by IOP?
IOP contains 6 priority axes dividing the operational programme into logical units, which are further materialised through areas of intervention, which define what types of projects may be supported under the respective priority axis. The priority axes are as follows:
-
Modernisation of public administration
-
Implementation of ICT in regional public administrations
-
Increasing the quality and availability of public services
-
National support of tourism
-
National support of regional development
-
Technical assistance
IOP was approved by the European Commission on 20 December 2012.
