IINTERREG V-A Slovak Republic – Czech Republic
The programme for the 2014–2020 period was being prepared since February 2012 under the governance of the Managing Authority (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the SR) and the National Authority (Ministry of Regional Development) and in cooperation with Czech and Slovak programme partners.
The programme preparation, i.e. drawing up of the basic programming document, took place in accordance with the respective regulations of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) published in the Official Journal of the EU –
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/
- Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No 1303/2013 on common provisions concerning the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, on general provisions concerning the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and on cancellation of the Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006
- Regulation (EU) No 1301/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the European Regional Development Fund and on specific provisions concerning the Investment for growth and jobs goal and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1080/2006
Regulation (EU) No 1299/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on specific provisions for the support from the European Regional Development Fund
to the European territorial cooperation goal
The main effort in the programme preparation was to create a document ensuring a smooth follow-up on the successful programming period 2007–2013, i.e. to maintain, if possible, the continuity in the basic parameters of the programme and take into account the needs of border regions for which the programme is intended so that it accepts, under the principle of thematic concentration, selected thematic objectives of the respective Commission regulation.
The new programme again focuses mainly on
regional and local projects with cross-border importance. When selecting projects, great emphasis will be again put on their actual cross-border impacts and only projects which can prove a significant positive impact on the Czech and Slovak border areas will be selected.
