INTERREG V-A Czech Republic – Republic of Poland
The programme for the 2014–2020 period was being prepared since 2012 under the governance of the Managing Authority (Ministry of Regional Development) and the National Authority (Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of the RP) and in cooperation with Czech and Polish programme partners. The programme preparation, i.e. drawing up of the basic programming document, took place in accordance with the respective regulations of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) published in the Official Journal of the EU – http://eur-lex.europa.eu/
- Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No 1303/2013 on common provisions concerning the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, on general provisions concerning the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and on cancellation of the Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006
- Regulation (EU) No 1301/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the European Regional Development Fund and on specific provisions concerning the Investment for growth and jobs goal and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1080/2006

The main effort in the programme preparation was to create a document ensuring a smooth follow-up on the successful programming period 2007–2013, i.e. to maintain, if possible, the continuity in the basic parameters of the programme and take into account the needs of border regions for which the programme is intended so that it accepts, under the principle of thematic concentration, selected thematic objectives of the respective Commission regulation.
The new programme again focuses mainly on
regional and local projects with cross-border importance. When selecting projects, great emphasis will be again put on their actual cross-border impacts and only projects which can prove a significant positive impact on the Czech and Slovak border areas will be selected.

Eligible territory:
Suitable beneficiaries: public authorities and their associations and groupings, organisations established and founded by public authorities, educational institutions including universities, economic and professional chambers, associations and groupings, associations and groupings operating in the area of tourism, churches and religious communities, non-governmental non-profit organisations, European grouping of territorial cooperation.
The principle of a leading partner, who is responsible for project implementation and must have at least one project partner on the other side of the border.
Fulfilment of at least 3 first of the below cooperation criteria:

• joint project implementation
• joint project financing
• joint project staff
Financial allocation for the programme: EUR 226,221,710 for the entire period.
