EU funds help: A Třinec company transformed its premises using EU funds
20. 6. 2025
The new headquarters, boasting the Building of 2024 award of the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction, has been used by the company DIRIGERE servis, s.r.o., in Třinec for more than a year. The company was able to embark on this bold construction project also thanks to a grant from EU funds.
The company DIRIGERE servis, s.r.o., was established in 2013, and exactly ten years after its founding, it officially opened its new representative headquarters in Těšínská Street, Třinec. It was built in the premises near an industrial park, where the company operates its Steel Structures Centre.
An important milestone was the purchase of this older industrial site that has undergone a major transformation since. The total expenditure on its revitalization reached almost CZK 93 million, of which the EU funds grant provided over CZK 32 million.
The aim of the project was to completely redevelop the dilapidated premises and create more favourable conditions for employees. This included the demolition of the original buildings. The new administrative building is a modern, representative headquarters of the company, providing a pleasant environment for employees in both white-collar and blue-collar positions. The latter can use comfortable sanitary facilities under one roof as well as properly heated warehouses and workshops.
MANUFACTURING IN A NEW AND PLEASANT ENVIRONMENT
A new production hall has been built next to the administrative building. It is heated, well-lit and offers better accessibility for trucks, more convenient and time-efficient unloading of material by crane from above and better arrangement of technologies. The logistics have improved throughout the site, which helps to increase occupational safety and adjusts the working environment to human work.
Construction on the site began in June 2021 and was carried out in two stages. First, they built the production hall, then the technology was installed and the trial operation of the hall was launched. In the second stage, they erected the administrative building and paved the surfaces in the premises.
“The administrative building we have built has a special curtain wall facade. The square boards are unusual, they are structured differently. This has given the building a dynamic look. Our company manufactures steel structures here and produces cladding and roof coverings. The new appearance of the building indicates what we actually do," said the company's executive director, Bohuslav Raszka.
The modern administrative building also boasts a specially designed "green" roof, on which five thousand seedlings of fifteen plant species have been planted. The up-to-date spaces not only offer employees ideal conditions for their work, but also make a significant contribution to climate change mitigation.
A BIG STEP FOR THE FUTURE
DIRIGERE servis, s.r.o., provides services in the areas of earthworks, demolitions, work at height, electrical installations, design and construction activities, road transport, steel structures and recycling. They often implement challenging projects in industrial areas or in confined spaces, designing also the technological processes. In all their works, they place a great emphasis on occupational safety and environmental protection.
By purchasing the steel structure division operating in Třinec, the company expanded its portfolio with an important section and so raised its competitiveness. The benefit for the region is, of course, a greater offer of jobs.
“We revitalized and modernized the structure production hall. Thanks to the larger cranes there, we are able to make heavier structures and better parts, and this gives us a better position in the market. "We also managed to automate production," Bohuslav Raszka added.
Approximately one hundred employees work in both technical and administrative professions at the company's premises on Těšínská Street. They manufacture, assemble, maintain and paint steel structures. The company also produces anchoring systems, facade cladding and roof covering, as well as offers repairs of production equipment in all areas of industry.
Moreover, the Třinec centre delivers tub containers that are today the most widespread type in Central Europe (especially in the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands). They are especially suitable for transporting various types of waste, construction debris and bulk materials. Another advantage of this type of container is the rolling system - the bottom is equipped with rollers that make it easier to move it to the bed of a truck or a rail car.
EU FUNDS HELPED TO REVITALIZE AN INDUSTRIAL SITE IN SILESIA. On the outskirts of Třinec, the DIRIGERE company built an architecturally unique administrative and industrial complex. Thanks to more than CZK 32 million in support from EU funds, it was possible to build entirely new and modern premises in a dilapidated former industrial site. These serve as a safe, functional and up-to-date facility for production operations and other activities of the company's employees.
