The largest meeting of experts devoted to the topic of evaluations in the field of European funds will take place on 12-13 November 2024 in Prague. The conference organized by the Evaluation Unit of the Ministry of Regional Development CZ annually attracts almost two hundred professionals not only from the Czech Republic, but also from other countries of the European Union. This year's theme is "What is (not) going well in evaluations and why?".
The first day of the conference offers a program focused on the latest trends in evaluations across Europe and the Czech Republic, including the assessment of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and the use of counterfactual methods in impact evaluations of the European Social Fund. Furthermore, it will focus, among other things, on the long-term evaluation experience of managing authorities and the assessment of programs related to employment, education and security. The second day will be dedicated to workshops providing participants with deeper insights into specific evaluation topics. Workshops include e.g. "The Art of Powerful Questions in Evaluations" led by experts from the foreign and Czech evaluation scene.
The conference in a face-to-face format, held at the premises of the Ministry of Regional Development CZ – Academy of Public Investment, will be the unique opportunity for networking and sharing best practices for participants from public and private sector, consultancy, academia and NGO.
