ESPON

The programme continues to consolidate the monitoring network (database) for territorial development and cohesion (European Spatial Observation Network - ESPON) and provides comparable, systematic and reliable data on the territory at European level. There are several variants of participation in the programme and ways to benefit from it. Entities can submit proposals for the preparation of targeted analyses, i.e. data collection to support their own political decision-making processes.

Moreover, service providers compete for contracts for the delivery of territorial evidence, territorial policy analyses, monitoring tools and other services. All project data and information on territorial policy are available free of charge to all interested parties on the programme's website. Thematically, the programme will focus on social, territorial and economic disparities, technological, environmental change, governance/cooperation and capacity building.
