The data on the spending of the European Union funds budget in the programming periods 2014-2020 and 2021–2027 are now displayed more attractively. The summaries for all member states are newly published by the European Commission on the Cohesion open data platform under the name "Budget Story". As can be seen from these data, the Czech Republic, with 98.5% of funds disbursed, remains at the top of the ranking of the EU fund use.
"We welcome the Commission's efforts to ensure transparency in the use of the European budget and to share openly the summary data on the reimbursement of money from EU funds to Member States. The 'Budget Story', as the Commission called the overview on the Cohesion website, provides a quick overview of the data. For us, the results are more than pleasing. More than CZK 642 billion paid to beneficiaries for the implementation of projects in the Czech Republic correspond to more than 98% of the funds allocated for the 2014-2020 programming period. The Czech Republic is also doing very well in the comparison of the use of European funds in the 2021-2027 programming period," said Stanislav Schneidra, senior director of the Ministry of Regional Development section for the coordination of European funds, international relations and tourism, and added: "
An important part of looking at the use of European funds is also a look at the outputs and results that the investment brings and, in the long term perspective, at the impacts of the supported projects. Over its long history, cohesion policy has become EU's most evidence-based policy."
The Commission's Directorate-General responsible for managing the budget of the European Union (DG BUDG) submits this information every month to the budget committees of the Council (EU) and of the European Parliament. Due to the great interest in accessing information in this open form, the data have now been displayed more attractively and clearly in charts and tabs by fund and member state.
Access to the data, updated every working day, is available directly from this link:

Partnership Agreement and in terms of
the benefits and influence of EU funds on the development of regions.
