The 5th Evaluation Conference of the NCA Evaluation Unit will again include training workshops. They will take place on 25 October 2019.
The first two workshops are divided into four 1.5 hour blocks. The other two will cover two 1.5 hour blocks and will be organised back to back so both can be attended.
Workshop I is called Measure what matters in communication! It will be conducted in English without interpreting and will focus on good practice in measuring and evaluating communication activities. It is primarily intended for communication experts and publicity staff. The workshop will be divided into four 1.5 hour blocks in the period 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. You need to have your own notebook.
Workshop II will take you through the basics of Cost-Benefit Analysis as a method to evaluate the impact of public policy measures. The workshop is unique in that it shows how to apply that method to programmes or policies. It will be conducted in English without interpreting. The workshop will be divided into four 1.5 hour blocks in the period 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Workshop III is suitable for active evaluators, especially in the field of education. The participants will be acquainted with evaluation of the Eduzměna project, including a discussion of specific problems that the lecturers encounter during their evaluation. It will take place in two 1.5 hour blocks in the period 9 a.m. - 12:30 a.m. This workshop will be held in Czech only!
Workshop IV will have the form of a discussion over evaluations that have been carried out on the appropriate setting of monitoring and result indicators and their relationship to the purpose of intervention. It will be presented in two 1.5 hour blocks in the period 1:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. This workshop will be held in Czech only!
